A Large Christian Family Killed in a Russian Missile Strike in the Dnipropetrovsk Region
A Russian missile strike on the settlement of Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, has claimed the lives of members of the Voronov family, a large Christian family. According to preliminary data, the father, mother, and three children were killed. The fate of several other family members remains under investigation.
The tragedy was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A Missile Destroys a Large Family’s Home
As a result of the ballistic missile strike, the residential house where the Voronov family lived was completely destroyed.
The family was raising seven children: Mark, Dominika, Zakhar, Azaria Ilai, Frederika, Emilia, and Viorika. Also with them at the time was 18-month-old grandson Artem, the son of the family’s eldest child, who is currently serving in the military defending Ukraine.
According to available information, the parents—Olena and Artem Voronov—as well as three of the children—Mark, Azaria Ilai, and Emilia—were killed.
Search and Rescue Operations Underway
According to the President, the force of the explosion was so powerful that the house was almost entirely demolished.
Rescuers discovered fragments of human bodies beneath the rubble, meaning forensic medical examinations will be necessary to establish the identities of all the victims.
At the time the information was published, the fate of Zakhar, Dominika, Viorika, Frederika, and little Artem remained unknown.
Calls to Strengthen the Defense of Ukrainian Skies
Commenting on the tragedy, the President of Ukraine emphasized the urgent need to strengthen the air defense system and provide Ukraine with a sufficient number of interceptors capable of stopping ballistic missiles.
He noted that effective airspace protection makes it possible to save civilian lives and prevent such tragedies.
