Julie Davis, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine, met with Valery Antoniuk, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO). The talks focused on the situation with freedom of religion in wartime and support for religious communities facing persecution.

This was reported by the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine on June 21.

“Promoting and protecting freedom of religion remains a key priority. I met with Valery Antoniuk, head of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, to express support for their tireless work in protecting religious freedom during the war and helping those at risk of persecution among Ukraine’s religious communities,” Davis said on the embassy’s Telegram channel.

It should be noted that the UCCRO is actively involved in protecting the rights of believers in Ukraine, as well as in international communications aimed at highlighting violations of religious freedom in the occupied territories.
