Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that from January 1 to October 25, 2025, the Russian army launched about 770 ballistic missile strikes on Ukraine and used more than 50 hypersonic Kinzhal missiles. According to the president, such intensity of shelling once again proves the urgency of strengthening Ukraine’s air and missile defense system.

The head of state stressed that the priority remains the deployment of additional units with Patriot complexes and other interception means to secure large cities and critical infrastructure facilities. He called on partners who possess the relevant systems to promptly implement the agreements reached on the transfer of air defense systems.
Zelenskyy also stressed that the US, EU countries, and the G7 have the tools to stop missile terror and that no state should be left alone in the face of such a scale of threats. Further coordination and timely decisions by allies, he said, would significantly reduce the risks to the civilian population and energy infrastructure.
