Consequences of the aid cutoff
According to Time, which cites senior officials both in Ukraine and among allies, the loss of access to critical intelligence has significantly hampered the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense operations. This was especially true in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces hold important strategic positions.
One military officer, who wished to remain anonymous, said:
“Hundreds of Ukrainians have died because of this pause. The biggest problem is morale. Ukrainian troops are forced to fight without the necessary weapons not because of Russian attacks, but because of the political decisions of our partners.”
The loss of data on Russian bomber flights and air movements means that Ukrainian forces now have less time to prepare for potential strikes.
Washington said that Trump made the decision to “stop the deaths,” but Ukraine emphasizes that such actions, on the contrary, contribute to the intensification of Russian attacks and lead to significant losses among the Ukrainian military and civilians.
The cessation of data exchange was the result of the White House’s earlier decision to suspend military assistance to Ukraine, including arms shipments that had already been sent.
The U.S. decision reduces Ukraine’s ability not only to defend itself, but also to resist lawlessness. And this raises an important question: can the West, which built its principles on Christian values, now abandon them for the sake of political expediency?
