Thanks to Save Ukraine, three children escaped from the occupation: among them, the son of a military man who stopped speaking out of fear

Three more Ukrainian children have been rescued from the temporarily occupied territories as part of the humanitarian initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA. This was reported by the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and the head of the Save Ukraine NGO Mykola Kuleba.

Among the rescued children is five-year-old Ivan, the son of a Ukrainian soldier, who was so traumatized by constant searches and threats from the occupation forces that he lost his speech. For more than a year he could not even say the word “mom”. His mother and grandmother decided to flee after receiving repeated threats of execution for refusing to obtain a Russian passport.

Another child who was evacuated was one-year-old Svetlana. After her father was abducted and tortured, the family had to leave their home. However, even after the move, the occupation administration conducted a new search and seized all documents. When it became known that the child still had a Ukrainian birth certificate, the mother was threatened that her daughter would be taken away and sent to an orphanage.

The operation to reunite 13-year-old Oksana with her mother was also successfully carried out. Due to the fear of being detained at enemy checkpoints, the family was looking for a safe route for the girl, and it was the Save Ukraine team that managed to bring her to a safe place.

According to Mykola Kuleba, these three rescues were made possible by the joint efforts of Save Ukraine, WeAreAllUkrainians, Humanity and Reload Love charitable foundations.
