Donald Trump’s personal spiritual advisor visited Bucha and Irpin: Burns impressed by testimony of occupiers’ crimes
Pastor Mark Burns, the personal spiritual advisor to the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, arrived in Ukraine. During the trip, he visited the cities of Kyiv region that have been subjected to Russian occupation, including Bucha, Irpin, and Borodyanka.

The visit was announced by Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Asman on Sunday, March 30. According to him, Pastor Burns personally spoke with local residents who survived the occupation and was deeply shocked and outraged by the stories he heard about the torture and murder of civilians.
“I am sure that these emotions and testimonies will not remain only in his heart. Mr. Burns is a man whose voice can be heard at the highest level in the United States. And I believe that he will bring the truth about Ukraine to those who make fateful decisions,” noted Asman.
In addition to visiting the liberated cities, Pastor Burns took part in an interfaith forum where representatives of various religious denominations told him about the ministry of Ukrainian believers in the difficult conditions of war. They especially talked about spiritual support for people during shelling, evacuations and losses.
It should be noted that March 31, 2025 marked the third anniversary of the liberation of Bucha from Russian troops. During the occupation, 381 civilians died in Bucha alone, and about 1200 in the entire Bucha district. The world was shocked by photos from mass graves and testimonies of mass killings, which became a symbol of Russia’s war crimes against Ukraine.
