A film about the persecution of evangelical Christians in Ukraine is published on the YouTube channel A Faith Under Siege
The YouTube channel A Faith Under Siege has released a documentary under the same title, A Faith Under Siege, which openly tells the story of the real-life persecution of evangelical Christians in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. It is a powerful testimony of faith, endurance and service in the midst of the horrors of war.
The movie shows the stories of pastors, missionaries and believers who risked everything for the sake of the Gospel. They were imprisoned, tortured, forced to flee, or killed – just for remaining faithful to Christ. The authors of the film sought to break through Russian propaganda and get to the truth as testified by the victims themselves.
“There’s so much propaganda around these issues right now that we wanted to get to the truth and talk to people who have suffered under Russian occupation for their faith,” explained Colby Barrett, the film’s executive producer.
“Faith Under Siege is already being broadcast on A Faith Under Siege. The film documents evidence of Russian crimes against religious freedom, while reminding us that even in the darkest of times, God’s love continues to work through His people.
Much attention is also paid to the missionary ministry of Christian Hickey, a former Special Forces officer who distributes audio Bibles to military and civilians. “The Word of God never returns in vain,” he says.
The film has already been presented at the Museum of the Bible in the United States. Its distribution is free. The authors call on churches and communities to hold public screenings so that the truth about religious persecution in Ukraine becomes known to the whole world.
“We pray for the Christians who are at the center of this conflict. May their testimony inspire us to remain faithful to Christ no matter what,” Barrett emphasized.
