Moscow promotes “new industrialization of Siberia” at the cost of Ukrainian lives

The Russian authorities have announced the launch of a large-scale project for the “development of Siberia and the Far East,” which is being overseen by Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu. The Kremlin claims “700 billion rubles in investments” and the creation of new industrial clusters, but experts point out that the real goal is demographic redrawing and artificial settlement of the regions at the expense of Ukrainians.

Due to mass emigration, the flight of young people, and significant losses of mobilized personnel, Siberia and the Far East are experiencing an acute population shortage. In these conditions, the Kremlin views the inhabitants of the occupied Ukrainian territories as the main resource for “new development.”

This refers to residents of the occupied areas of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.

Lists of people for “long-term assignments” are already being compiled in the TOT

According to the Center for National Resistance, documents marked “urgent” are being sent to local occupation authorities and subordinate structures — schools, hospitals, and utilities.

In fact, these actions are a preparatory stage for forced deportation under the guise of “voluntary employment.”

A repeat of Stalin’s deportations

Analysts note that the mechanism completely replicates the Soviet practice of “organized recruitment” in the 1940s and 1950s, when Crimean Tatars, Ukrainians from Galicia, Chechens, and other peoples were forcibly deported under the pretext of work or resettlement.

The scenario is the same:

Despite the new rhetoric about “developing Siberia,” the goal remains imperial—to assimilate Ukrainians, tear them away from their homeland, and destroy Ukrainian identity.

The essence of the program is not economics, but repressive politics

The CNS emphasizes that the “Siberization” project has no real economic content. Its true role is to create a tool for the controlled eviction of Ukrainian citizens thousands of kilometers from their homes and the formation of a new slave labor force.
