Russia launches massive strikes on Sumy and Odesa, causing numerous casualties and destruction
Russian attacks on Sumy and Odesa killed at least 19 people and injured dozens, including children. The missile strikes destroyed residential buildings and critical infrastructure.

In Sumy, Russians fired ballistic missiles with cluster munitions, hitting a densely populated neighborhood and critical infrastructure. According to the regional military administration, 84 people were injured, including 11 children. There are 11 people in intensive care, six of whom are children. 11 people, including two children, were killed.
“Russian non-humans used ballistic missiles with cluster munitions, which have a great impact,” the JMA said.
The city is currently responding to the aftermath, an operational headquarters has been deployed, and the victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.
In Odesa, a Russian missile strike on the central part of the city killed eight people. According to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, the strike caused fires in residential buildings and numerous injuries. The rescue operation is ongoing, one of the missiles did not explode and hit a school building.
“This is a nightmare in the center of Europe. Let’s hold on, they can’t break us,” urged Honcharenko.
Russia’s attacks on Sumy and Odesa were another act of terror against civilians. Response and rescue operations are ongoing.
